    Open the DMG and drag Pikoroo into Applications. Open it from there.

    Give Pikoroo its first hello.

    This preview is not notarized by Apple. If macOS blocks the first launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway for Pikoroo and confirm. Keep Gatekeeper enabled.

  3. 03

    Bring something to play.

    Explore Get games, or use Add a game for files already on your Mac. Windows games use the bundled runtime and may need Apple’s Rosetta. Initial setup needs internet; games and purchases are separate.

Your game comes first.

With automatic updates enabled, Pikoroo checks while it’s open, downloads a new release and verifies its signing key. It installs when you quit after games and other work have finished.

Your library and game files stay in place. Next launch, you’re on the new version. The previous app is kept for recovery.

Is Pikoroo free?

This development preview is free, with no subscription or signup. Games and store purchases are separate.

Will every Windows game work?

No. Compatibility depends on the game, graphics backend, hardware and macOS. Some launchers, anti-cheat systems and game-specific requirements are unsupported. Check the available evidence for your game.

Do I need Wine or CrossOver?

No separate installation is needed. Wine, DXMT and DXVK are bundled, and common Windows components are downloaded and verified during managed setup. Optional Apple graphics is a separate import from Apple, under Apple’s terms.

Where do I control updates?

Open Pikoroo → Updates & Recovery to change automatic update settings, check now or restore a retained version. Pikoroo must be open to check; it does not wake your Mac or run a separate always-on service.

Which Macs can use it?

Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Windows runtime setup requires Rosetta. Optional Apple graphics requires macOS 15 or later. Individual games can have higher requirements.
